Houses by the sea

Thank The Lord, we were spared the brunt of Hurricane Dean! It has been pretty rough these last few days.. we have no power and no water( thankfully we have a water tank!)

The storm rolled in on sunday afternoon, knocking down trees, light poles and everything in sight! We were scared! Our biggest fear was losing our roof as these winds were STRONG!!!!!!!!!! Anyway we diudn’t suffer any damage in our home just a few trees down. Unfortunately many people were not as lucky… I will post some pics of some homes that were on the beach..

Tara was oblivious to the danger that we were exposed to (bless her heart!) She just creeeped and ate and drank through the storm while my nerves as well as my mom’s were on edge!!!

The Bigggg Challenge of single motherhood… no man to help us get the house ready.. we had to pay someone to do nail up the storm storm shutters and prepare the house.

I looked at Tara and thought well hun, you have your mom and grandma as well as many friends.. so if anything happens we will just have to be enough. This reminds me that I iwll need to play dual roles.. Mom and Dad.

I will have to learn to do things like nailing storm shutters, checking out the roof to make sure it is okay and gassing up a generator….. you know all the things a man does??

So mad at her father he did noty even call to see if his child was alive….after the hurricane…. he did not call before or after.

Anyway, God will take care of us.
